Marketing Intern

About this internship:

The Wright Village internships are structured to provide meaningful learning opportunities and build practical work experience. At The Village, we are currently focused on growing the business and memberships, strengthening operations, and building partnerships and programming. We are committed to working with interns to set and work towards specific goals to be achieved during their internship.

Internship Details:

Targeted majors: Business, Marketing, Communications

Time Commitment: 10 hours/week minimum (flexible schedule)

Compensation/Academic Credit: This position can be structured as a paid internship, a credit-based academic internship, or a volunteer opportunity depending on availability of funding or the applicant’s institutional needs.

Example Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating, scheduling, and publishing content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Design graphics using Canva that align with The Wright Village brand

  • Support monthly newsletter content and email marketing campaigns

  • Help develop marketing plans and strategies for upcoming events and programs

  • Track performance metrics and help prepare reports on reach and engagement

  • Capture content (photos, videos, quotes) during live events and workshops when available

Requirements

  •  Driven and excited about learning at a fast pace

  •  Strong customer service experience and people skills

  • Strong written communication and visual storytelling

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and trends

  • Experience with or knowledge of coordinating meetings and events

  • Canva or similar design tool experience

  •  Experience with or desire to learn how to use project management tools and software

  •  Interest in entrepreneurship, community development, or mission-driven marketing

  •  Detail-oriented and proactive with task follow-through
