Black History Month Week at The Wright Village
Still Here. Still Building. Still Us.
February 23–25 | Raleigh, NC
Black History Month at The Wright Village centers not only reflection, but action. Through film, conversation, and direct economic support, we honor the legacy of Black entrepreneurship by uplifting those building right now.
While the programming centers on Black history and Black business, all are welcome to attend, learn, and support.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This week includes three distinct experiences. You may attend one event or multiple.
🎬 Monday, February 23 | 6:30–8:30 PM
Reel Resilience: Black Business on Screen $15
Reel Resilience is a community film screening spotlighting Black entrepreneurship, resilience, and the stories that keep us building — even when the odds aren’t in our favor.
Following the screening, attendees will be invited into a guided conversation and shared reflection centered on legacy, perseverance, and what it means to keep showing up in business and in community.
Light refreshments are included with your ticket.
This experience is reflective, grounding, and welcoming.
All are welcome.
🏗️ Tuesday, February 24 | 6:00–8:00 PM
Built With Us: Black Business, Still Here $20
Black History Month is not only about remembrance.
It is about recognition — of those still building.
Built With Us is an intimate founder conversation exploring what it truly takes to sustain a Black-owned business in today’s environment.
This evening goes beyond surface-level success stories. It centers lived experience, practical wisdom, and the real systems — or lack thereof — that shape Black entrepreneurship.
Together, we’ll examine:
Longevity over hype
Sustainability over visibility
Capital, readiness, and growth
The power — and responsibility — of community
This is a listening-centered, solution-oriented space designed for entrepreneurs, ecosystem leaders, and those committed to supporting Black-owned businesses in meaningful ways.
Heavy hors d’oeuvres are included.
If you are building, supporting, or investing in something real — this conversation matters.
Seating is limited to maintain depth and connection.
All are welcome.
🛍️ Wednesday, February 25 | 11:30 AM–3:00 PM
